NO WAGGING TAIL LEFT BEHIND ANIMAL RESCUE

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 15 people are interested

No Wagging Tail Left Behind (NWTLB) is a 501c3 nonprofit dog rescue located in San Diego.

Our organization is looking for several Adoption Coordinators. Adoption Coordinators are responsible for screening applicants and potential adopters. You would be responsible for communicating with the applicants and fosters via email, phone, text or at events. Although going to events is helpful, it is not required. You would also need to make sure the applicant's home check has been completed. Adoption Coordinator's can work virtually from anywhere with a computer or phone and do not need to attend the events. We have simplified our process and provide already scripted responses and questions to most applications. You can also write your own responses! We provided training, support and advice as needed.

This position does require a consistent volunteer for few hours every week. You can volunteer as few as 1-2 hours a week or as much as you'd like. Ideally, you would check emails at least once a day, more if you can. Once you have begun communication with an applicant, it is better for you to complete the process with that applicant. You can communicate with just 1 applicant a week or as many as you would like.

Do you need a Letter of Recommendation for a job? We can write them for volunteers who have worked with us consistently for many months. Be sure to discuss it with us before beginning.

This position requires the volunteer to be located in San Diego County, California.

If you are interested in volunteering with our organization please complete a volunteer application at: https://www.nwtlb.org.

No Wagging Tail Left Behind (NWTLB) is a 501c3 nonprofit.

NWTLB is also able to work with small organizations and small groups looking for volunteer hours.

Our adoption events are every Saturday, mostly in the Point Loma area, usually from 10 am to 2 pm. Set up is usually 9-10 am and take down is usually 2-3 pm. We always need lots of help on Saturdays!!! This job is flexible and does not take a lot of time.

We always need volunteers and can find a position for you in whatever area you would like to help!!!

Description

Wagging Tails is an all breed, non-profit rescue that places hundreds of dogs each year. We pride ourselves on our reputation of ongoing support for adopters and their new family members. We are volunteer and donation based- our main goal being to care for and give loving homes to dogs in need.

Sandy's first rescue dog, Bonnie, was a cattle dog mix that was transported to her home in the trunk of a car with 8 puppies. She found homes for the puppies and kept Bonnie. Since that day, Sandy has been helping place dogs in loving homes. No Wagging Tail Left Behind came to life when Sandy began taking in six plus dogs a week, mostly from El Centro, to find them homes.

With the help of board members Jean Whitney and Laura Morkan, Wagging Tails received a non-profit status on May 12, 2012. Since then, the rescue has grown in size with volunteers who handle paperwork and attend adoption events. We look forward to increasing the number of dogs placed each year, our volunteer staff, and our donations!
