The American Diabetes Association is actively seeking passionate and dedicated leaders to serve as Health Educators and Activity Leaders in our signature Project Power program this summer! The American Diabetes Association is partnering with the YMCA of Silicon Valley to offer day camps that will feature Project Power, an exciting new program that focuses on nutrition education and physical activity. Project Power is an initiative to slow the trajectory of childhood obesity through health promotion, nutrition education, increased physical activity, and family engagement.

Health Leaders will be trained to facilitate nutrition education sessions, fun physical activities, and games during our summer camps. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals to gain experience working with youth around health prevention, health education, and risk factors for developing type 2 diabetes. Ideal candidates would be able to participate for the full 5-day week for 2 hours each day. Interested in this exciting opportunity? Please click here to apply: https://forms.gle/qECsYskKnx387deV8
