Mission Statement
Daylighting and rehabilitating the seven canyon creeks of Utah's Wasatch Range, restoring beauty and health to the hydrology of the Salt Lake Valley.
Description
It starts with water. Over the next 100 years, we will mobilize neighborhood residents, community groups, and government leaders to build an innovative and resilient system of creek corridors, including green space and recreational areas. Twenty-one miles of buried creek will be uncovered, and 87 miles of impaired waterway restored. In an age of climate uncertainty, these vibrant waterways will become the lifeblood of our communities and protectors of this oasis on the desert’s edge - the Salt Lake Valley.
All that’s left is you. Let’s uncover and restore our urban creeks together!
"A society grows great when wise people plant trees in whose shade they know they shall never sit."
