Summary/Objective

The Holocaust Memorial Resource & Education Center of Florida is seeking a Patron Experience Volunteer who will provide administrative and logistical support to our Center.

Essential Functions

  • Greeting and orienting Patrons to the Holocaust Center by point out key components of exhibits
  • Showing Patrons how to work with the audio tour
  • Collecting brief Patron data that assist the Holocaust Center with grant reporting
  • Answering the Holocaust Center phone to reply to patron questions
  • Assisting with thank you or attendance confirmation phone calls as needed
  • Representing the Holocaust Center and its mission to create a moral and just society free of all forms of prejudice at all times
  • Ordering supplies as needed
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to speak comfortably in a presentation setting

The Holocaust Center is a highly respected nonprofit organization. Creativity and teamwork are greatly valued, as everyone on staff plays an important role.

Schedule:

As a volunteer, optional 4-7 hour shifts are available 2-5 days per week during museum hours as follows:

Monday through Thursday 9:00am - 4:00pm

Friday 9:00am - 1:00pm

REQUIREMENTS

  • Orientation or Training
  • We are looking for a team of volunteers to greet our visitors and answer phones during museum hours of Monday - Thursday 9:00am - 4:00pm and Fridays from 9:00am - 1:00pm.
  • We are seeking a friendly person to interact with our museum patrons.
