The Friends and Foundation of APL present our first book and DVD sale since February!

Saturday, September 26
RAIN DATE: Sunday, September 27 (to be confirmed on Thursday, September 24)

Everything will cost $1.



We need volunteers from 10am to 12pm to set-up and prepare, from 12pm -5pm while open, and from 4:30pm to 6pm to pack up.
  • Sort and Display: 10am to 12pm
  • Pack Grab Bags: 10am to 11:30pm
  • Tidy stacks and help with purchases: 11:30pm - 2:00pm, 2pm - 4:30pm
  • Greeting: 12pm - 3pm, 2pm - 5pm
  • Pack up: 4:30pm - 6pm
We are looking for at least 6 volunteers. Please let us know what time works for you when you write.

Mission Statement

The Albany Public Library Foundation provides critical financial support to the Albany (NY) Public Library in order to help the Library provide education, literacy, career development, cultural enrichment and lifelong learning.

Description

The APL Foundation’s purpose is to

  • Benefit, promote, support, encourage and generally enhance the programs and facilities of the Albany Public Library
  • Provide financial assistance and support for specific Library programs and projects, and
  • Assist the Library Board of Trustees in making its programs and facilities more valuable to the community.

The APL Foundation is functionally integrated with the Albany Public Library.

Re-energized in 2014, the APL Foundation is building a robust organization to support the Albany Public Library's programs and services. The APL hosts one million visitors and provides more than 3,000 programs annually at its seven neighborhood branches. The Foundation is committed to helping APL maintain this high level of use and programming. The APL Foundation provides critical financial support to enhance education, literacy, career development, cultural enrichment and lifelong learning for all ages at the Albany Public Library.
