We are seeking a calm, friendly, detail-oriented, organized person to assist with reception duties at San Mateo Free Clinic. Volunteer duties to include: answering the phone, greeting clients, assisting with scheduling, some data entry, or other clerical assignments.
The Clinic can be a busy hub of activity, but it is always a warm and pleasant place. The shared priority of staff and volunteers is providing excellent service to our clients.
The ability to speak Spanish is not a requirement, but it would be a bonus.
Samaritan House is the predominant non-profit agency in San Mateo County--dedicated to meeting the needs of our low-income neighbors.

Description
As one of San Mateo’s leading nonprofits, we are the largest food distribution agency in the county and are recognized as a role model in the community. Our free service offerings include shelter and housing assistance; medical and dental clinics; clothes for children; personalized case management and much more. Each year, we provide services and resources to more than 25,000 low-income and homeless San Mateo County residents in need, including families with children, seniors and individuals living with a disability, veterans and homeless adults.
