Power the Fringe: Volunteers Needed for the 2019 Minnesota Fringe Festivals

Help us make adventurous art happen! Support Minnesota Fringe and our artists by volunteering with the front-of-house team in this year’s festivals.

The Minnesota Fringe Festival is an 11-day performing arts festival in the Twin Cities Metro. A total of approximately 600 performances are hosted in 13 venues, showcasing the work of over 130 companies. Additionally, for the second year in a row, Family Fringe will feature new and adventurous work for families and kids.

That’s a lot of adventurous art! To make this all happen, Minnesota Fringe relies upon volunteers to run the box office, usher, and assist with crowd control. Each year, more than 300 volunteers step up to serve in 2000+ front-of-house volunteer shifts over the course of the festivals.

That’s where you come in! In return for your help, Minnesota Fringe will shower you in gratitude, a swanky t-shirt, Fringe swag, and free performance tickets.

Group Volunteering

Together is better! Sign up with your group of friends, artists, neighbors, co-workers, or book club members by emailing Volunteer Services at volunteer@fringefestival.org.

Age Requirements

Fringe welcomes anyone 12 years of age and up as part of our volunteer team.

12-15 years old: May usher at our age-appropriate shows with an adult.

16-17 years old: May volunteer at any of our age-appropriate shows.

18 years old & up: May volunteer in any of our front-of-house positions.

All volunteers must sign a waiver before their first shift!
