ORGANIZATION: Riverside County Library System - Home Gardens Library

Teen Advisory Council is a teen run program in which teens can use their voices to help elevate Teen Services at the Home Gardens Library! Teens will have the opportunity to discuss teen related issues at the library and create events and resource that the library can provide to teens. They have have the opportunity to plan and create events, promote teen services and resources from the library, use social media to promote events, write teen related reviews (books, movies, tv shows, etc.), and have fun while meeting new people.

Anyone, ages 13-17, is welcome to attend meetings and share your opinions! Meeting will be once a month for 2 hours (exact days to be determined by YOU!).

First meeting will be June 10th at 2:30pm!

Description

Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
