The social media team takes photos with their cell phones at all events and red carpets, capturing guests having fun, sponsors, celebrities, volunteers, etc, and uploads to the social media manager.
The best way to get on this team is to take a social media shift at one of our monthly Film Insider Series screenings that run from Feb - July at Arclight La Jolla on Wednesday nights at 4:45. Meet the sm manager and get all the info needed for fest dates.
It's mandatory to be available for several dates during the festival week Oct 15-20th. Events take place both downtown and in La Jolla, at UTC, events will take place on Opening night, Wednesday, Oct 17th, and Sunday morning at the Culinary Cinema on Oct 20th.

Description
Binge Watching for Film Lovers! The San Diego Film Festival is rapidly developing a reputation for premiering blockbuster films right here in San Diego. In 2012 we saw Silver Linings Playbook, Beasts of the Southern Wild and Quartet here long before they became box office hits. In 2013, we premiered 12 Years a Slave, The German, and August: Osage County. And last year it was The Imitation Game and Whiplash, which were honored with four Oscar wins and 11 nominations, plus Wild, Mr. Turner, St. Vincent, The Good Lie, We are looking for hundreds of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to plan, promote, and produce events and support our guests year-round and during the Festival (October 4-October 8).
