Volunteers needed for the Summer Reading Kickoff Party on Tuesday, June 4! This year’s program theme is A UNIVERSE OF STORIES. The youth department has a super line up of programing that need volunteers to monitor each booth.
- Asteroid Toss Game - Volunteer would hand out "asteroids" for kids to throw through a space ship with holes. If a child gets it through the hole they get to pick a small prize.
- Alien head band craft- Volunteer will make sure table is stocked with craft materials and help kids make headbands as needed.
- Planet Marble Painting- Volunteer will clean and stock table with painting supplies. Will help kids with painting as needed.
- Face Painting- calling our artistic volunteers! Help face paint or give children temporary tattoos
- Water Station - Refill water station with ice, water, and cups as needed

Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
