Hello Potential Volunteer! Are you ready to fulfill one of your New Years Resolutions, "to try something new"? Here is your big chance.
Be prepared to have fun, enjoy some great music, and see some of the most beautiful costumes ever - all in once great location - the City of Stonecrest. The Atlanta Carnival Bandleaders Council (ACBC) is excited to have you become a part of our team - as you help us to stage the fastest growing Caribbean Carnival in North America. Volunteers will work in shifts and compensation will include free admission to the event, a t-shirt and our total gratitude!
We are looking for dedicated individuals to volunteer for the 32nd Annual Atlanta DeKalb Carnival, May 23rd 2020 in the Stonecrest Mall area. Staging is next to the old Sams Club at 8010 Mall Pkwy, Stonecrest, Georgia 30038, from 10:00am and the parade starts at 12noon. Directly after the parade is the concert, which ends around 11pm. What better way to give back to your community, then by assisting us in fulfilling our mission to promote unity and cultural awareness through arts, music and entertainment.
ACBC needs volunteers to fill the following positions below. Assignments will be matched with volunteer talents and interests. If you are interested, please provide us with your contact information, assignment, choice of hours you are available, and your t-shirt size. Once we receive your information we will be contacting you with further instructions.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Atlanta Carnival Bandleaders Council (ACBC) is to promote a broader understanding and a deeper appreciation of Caribbean culture among the Atlanta community by seeking the interest of carnival bands and steel bands, and using the Atlanta Caribbean Carnival as a vehicle for the promotion of Caribbean culture.
Description
Atlanta Carnival Bandleaders Council (ACBC) is comprised of an Executive Board and up to 30 member bands. The Masquerade Bands and beautifully dressed during Memorial Day weekend, in explosive colors; dancing to intoxicating rhythms promoting Caribbean culture. This is our 32nd year celebrating Caribbean Culture, volunteering in our community as well as raising funds for programs near and dear to our individual Masquerade Bands objectives. It takes hundreds of dedicated people to "put on" on of the largest/fastest growing Carnivals in North America, so we frequently enlist the help of our good citizens to assist us.
