The Financial Literacy Instructor position will assist conducting the BCAUSEICANTRADE classes which focuses on the introduction of concepts and terminology of the Stock Market. The students will learn how to Day Trade after completion of the classes. Duties involve assisting in installing trading software and assisting students in understanding the Stock Market and the value of generating wealth.

The class will be taught by our lead instructor virtually while the assistant will be in person, helping students stay on track and ensuring equipment is set up and working.

The classes will be on Wednesday's from 3-4pm beginning June 29. The duration of this class is (6) weeks. This position will also assist in our Financial Workshop development and curriculum.
The class will be held at:
East of the River Band 4701 Jay St NE Washington, DC 20019
Based on school guidelines, in person volunteers must be vaccinated.

Description

BCAUSEICAN conducts computer literacy and financial literacy classes. The computer literacy classes focuses on developing the techniques and skills to support STEM by introducing students to the basics of coding. The computer literacy classes target youth from 6-12. The financial literacy classes focuses on stock market education. The students learn the terminology and concepts of the stock market and eventually learn to simulate day trading. The financial literacy classes target middle school to high school students. We have been conducting classes for 2 years in the SHAW Community in NW Washington, DC.
