During the month of August, ForKids' educators work with school-aged children to help prepare them for success through life skills and service learning. The focus this past summer was on healthy minds, bodies, and wallets. Financial literacy activities including learning earning and spending through authors in the community such as Isaiah Swift. Another key component of success is connecting with the community. Children participated in various service projects such as visiting a nursing home and cleaning up a playground.
This program will also be taking place at our Suffolk location, 119 W Constance Road.
We are looking for volunteers to assist with the education team in making this a memorable summer, putting the children in a healthy mindset to prepare for the next school year!
