Greenwood Wildlife Rehabilitation is currently looking for community members to serve on the board of directors. Greenwood Wildlife Rehab plans to expand in Denver, CO and we are looking for board members based in Denver that would be able to help with outreach and the expansion project.
We have an interest in recruiting individuals who might have a background in the following areas: legal, real estate, marketing, fundraising, finance, donor development, wildlife management, veterinary, animal conservation.
We are also looking for to increase our diversity of our board with age, geographic area and race.
The board meets every other month with committee meetings occurring monthly.
The following are the board responsibilities:
- Define strategic direction and ensure mission, vision and values are reflected
- Ensuring financial sustainability
- Ensure an annual audit and financial review is conducted
- Ensure adequate funding for the organization and fiscal oversight
- Conduct an annual performance review for the Executive Director
- Ensure governance, policies and bylaws are upheld and reflect the organizations evolving needs
- Provide support for expansion and growth

Greenwood believes that saving wildlife matters. Everyday we promise to give Colorado wildlife a second chance by providing rehabilitation and education that promotes respectful and humane interactions.
