2019 Kent Immigrant and Refugee Community Soccer Camp Volunteer
1 person is interested
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the first annual Kent Immigrant and Refugee Community Soccer Camp!
The camp will be held from August 12th-16th in Kent, WA. Volunteers will need to be there from 8:00am-3:30pm each day and must attend a mandatory training on July 24th from 5:30-7:00pm at World Relief's office in Kent.
Volunteers at camp will hold important roles in making this summer soccer camp a success for newcomer immigrant and refugee youth in 1st-12th grades. Camp volunteers will serve as assistant soccer coaches, support with camp coordination (check-in, lunch, check-out, equipment disbursement), and most importantly ensure that all youth have a positive experience.
As part of your commitment as a camp volunteer, before the camp you commit to conducting one equipment drive or event/campaign that spreads awareness about SWB and gathers resources for the youth in our program. We look forward to working with a special group of volunteers this year who are passionate about providing lasting benefit to the youth we serve.
2019 Camp Volunteers at the minimum must be entering their Sophomore year of High School but all older ages are welcome! If you are able to attend all of the above dates, meet the minimum age requirement, and can commit to organizing one equipment drive/fundraiser event within one year before or after the camp, please reach out for more information!
