We are looking for volunteers to deliver meals to clients in Los Angeles County, with a concentration in South Los Angeles, East Los Angeles, Pasadena and Altadena. The clients are participating in a state pilot program where they are receiving medically-tailored meals to help them from being readmitted to the hospital due to CHF (Congestive Heart Failure). This is an opportunity to not only deliver much needed nutrition, but also a smile and compassion.
Meals are picked up on Wednesdays and/or Sundays between 9:30 am and 11:30am, with delivery to be made by 1 pm.
There are between 4-7 stops on each route and it usually takes about 1 1/2 hours to complete each route, depending on the number of stops and the locations.
Drivers must have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance and their own vehicle.
Our volunteers bring hope and nutrition to those struggling with hunger and illness.
