We are looking for volunteers to deliver meals to our seriously ill clients in the Long Beach area. This is an opportunity to not only deliver much needed medically-tailored meals to people in need, but also a smile and compassion. In this time of COVID, our clients are more isolated than ever and need these nutritious meals delivered to their door.
Meals are picked up on Wednesdays at 9:00 am and delivered by 12 noon.
There are 10 stops on each route and it usually takes about 2 hours to complete.
Drivers must have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance and their own vehicle.
Our volunteers bring hope and nutrition to those struggling with hunger and illness.
* All volunteers must provide proof of vaccination, including booster. Booster is required based on eligibility (6-8 months after last vaccination; 3 months after positive test result). Proof of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours can replace proof of the booster.
* Masks must be worn in the building and when delivering meals. The masks must be KN/N-95 or surgical disposables.
