Do you love to read? Are you available 1 hour a week? Visit patients and read to them. A reading visit with a patient provides companionship, socialization, intellectual stimulation and comfort.

Not a reader? Write letters and notes for loved ones. Assist in writing life-story and legacy for patients. Work in the office with staff. Help with events and activities.

Description

Hospice of the Miami Valley is a nurse-founded and led organization providing a patient-centered and compassionate approach to those with serious illnesses. Covering the 13 counties in the Greater Miami Valley Area, hospice care can be provided whenever the patient calls home. Accreditation by the Community Home Accreditation Program (CHAP) validates that the hospice meets the industry's highest nationally recognized standards.
