LA WORKS RSVP

LAWORK_RSVP

Quick Overview: As Perry’s Place volunteer, you are part of the team that creates a homelike environment for hundreds of homeless cats and kittens every year!

Organization Name and Website: Heaven on Earth, http://heavenlypets.org

Mission or Broader Program Description: Heaven on Earth provides homes to up to 300 cats - many awaiting adoption. Our population includes under-aged kittens, special needs cats, senior cats, and feral cats. Our sanctuary is named Perry's Place in honor of Perry MacFarlane, Seth MacFarlane's mother.

Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities: Perry’s Place volunteers help clean and maintain the sanctuary to ensure the cats are comfortable and that the facility is ready for visitors. They spend quiet time socializing shyer cats and kittens, as well as working with senior or special needs cats who need extra grooming and TLC. They often help prepare for each weekend’s mobile adoption events as well. Please note that although you are welcome to interact with the cats, being a volunteer at Heaven on Earth does require a little elbow grease.
