Join Pikes Peak United Way for a Poverty Simulator on Monday, June 10th from 1:00-3:30pm.
We are looking for 10-15 people to play the roles of agencies during the simulation. "Families" will be made up of college students learning about living in poverty and the difficulties that come with accessing agencies and resources.
As a agency roleplayer, you will be assigned to "work" at an agency/organization like the bank, childcare center, community action agency, and more, interacting with families who need your resources.
This is an eye-opening and thrilling experience! It is great for anyone who works with those experiencing poverty, wishes to learn more about societal challenges for people facing poverty, or is looking for an exciting volunteer activity.
