As the Social Media Specialist, your role will be to increase awareness and understanding of Friends of Bolton Mansion and our mission with the community. This position plays a pivotal role in helping us connect with people in our community who want to help preserve our history. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of all social media platforms and insights as to emerging trends in advertising. They need to be innovative with their ideas to help our message break through and connect with our community. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Curate and create brand-appropriate content to post daily across all social media channels - including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, Instagram, and more
- Report on monthly social media activities
- Monitor social media channels for timely response to customer feedback, important news, and questions to relay to appropriate Board Member
- Work with other volunteers to help build and maintain a brand voice and tone, ensuring consistency across all touch-points in the community member journey
- Post events to online event calendars (i.e. Visit Bucks County event calendar)
Requirements:
- A passion for Social Media marketing.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills are essential, as well as demonstrated experience in social media strategy, execution, and reporting.
- Proven relationship building skills.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Friends of Bolton Mansion is to engage the Lower Bucks County community through exhibits and programming that are open to the public. The continued restoration and preservation of the Mansion as a historic museum, along with the Farmers’ residence and surrounding grounds will foster interest in the interpretation of the site, the history of Bolton Mansion, and its role in the early history of the Commonwealth through the present day.
Description
Friends of Bolton Mansion members and volunteers work together to restore this beautiful piece of history through fundraising events and private event rentals. Our goals for 2019 are to build our volunteer base including specialists, to increase our outdoor security of the building to preserve any restorations that have been completed, restore the first floor hallway (the last remaining restoration on the first floor), and update our web presence by redesigning our website and increasing our social media marketing.
