National Alliance Against Home Repair Fraud

Image_201905120845

We need help setting up and maintaining a crowdfunding account with the crowdfunding source Kickstarter or Indigogo or any other that would be best for our nonprofit. We have created an app to help disaster victims but we need funding to make it more interactive to protect disaster victims from home repair fraud and scams.

We are getting multiple calls, especially from seniors who have been victimized, and we need to raise funds to improve our app so we can be available 24-7 for seniors, women, first time homebuyers, diaster victims, the physcially impaired, those who speak English as a second language, and professionals too busy to pay close attention to contractors coming into their home.

It is estimated that over $13 billion is lost every year to shady contractors. Help us continue to lower that number. We beg for your expertise as we know the value of it and that many nonprofits could use your skills. We hope and pray that you will us! And if for any reason you don't choose us, thank you for your service in helping other nonprofits. We all need you!

Thank you,
Phae Moore
Executive Director

About National Alliance Against Home Repair Fraud

Location:

3525 Piedmont Road, Building 7, Suite 300, Atlanta, GA 30305, US

Mission Statement

NCPHIF's mission is to educate homeowners BEFORE they begin a home improvement or home repair project, to greatly reduce the chances of victimization or contractor fraud. We do this by providing homeowners with valuable information and resources so they can become their own quality control managers. By empowering homeowners with knowledge around "Best Practices" we can begin to win the war on contractor fraud and claim our communities as contractor " Fraud-Free Zones."

Description

We put on workshops nationwide to educate homeowners on how to prevent becoming a victim of home improvement fraud. We have a social media network and have extensive media coverage. We go into disaster areas and distribute information to storm victims on how to protect themselves.
