The Scranton Composite Squadron, of the Civil Air Patrol, seek volunteers with an interest in serving within their community. Primarily to do squadron managerial duties and working with youth members within the cadet program. In addition to position specific duties, all members are encouraged to participate in Civil Air Patrol’s Emergency Services, Aerospace Education, and Cadet Program missions. A wide variety of Emergency Services and other training opportunities are available if desired.

Minimum Qualifications for adult volunteers:

• Good organizational, people, and communication skills.
• Aged 18 or older.
• Willingness to become a member of the Civil Air Patrol and comply with all internal regulations and procedures
• Ability and willingness to commit for a minimum of one year.
• Ability to pass a federal and state background check.
• Enthusiasm for community service and working with youth.
• Able to attend majority of weekly squadron meetings

Membership (Recruiting & Retention)
Safety and Health
Cadet Programs: Drill/Color Guard, Testing, Mentoring, Aerospace Education/STEM
Pilots for Orientation Flights and Emergency Services
Emergency Services (Ground team, Air crew, Mission base) and Disaster Preparedness
