We are looking for a male volunteer to mentor a 16-year-old from Afghanistan in our refugee foster care program. This youth arrived in the United States in November of 2018, and he currently lives at one of our group home facilities. He experienced trauma in home country regarding religious persecution. He has shown healthy coping skills and no mental health concerns. He is a 9th grader at a local public high school, and he is learning English but no longer requires an interpreter. His case manager shared the following about him: "He is a great young man. He is smart, mature, fun, outgoing, and social. He LOVES soccer, building things, being active. Great fit for any mentor!"
