My name is Yoofi Dowell, Founder and Executive Director of The Idea Farm (IF) Academy Inc., and I am planning to host 5 themed Summer Camps in 2023 and will be doing planning for this and other strategic priorities virtually.
The name of the camp is Camp Space Cadets and it is a Science/Technology/Engineering/Arts/Mathematics (STEAM) based camp that provides youth in underrepresented communities with 21st century learning opportunities. Campers will also enrich their Literacy, Math and Science Skills to mitigate academic loss due to COVID-19.
The IF Academy is in need of up to 10-15 individuals volunteer for the strategic priorities and action plan required to offer Camp Space Cadets. Camp SPace Cadets is our biggest revenue generator and provides the resources necessary to offer innovative and necessary STEM based programming for vulnerable communities and populations. The IF Academy will offer programming beneficial to the campers participating and to the individuals acting as counselors. The camp is for up to 50 youth ages 6-16 years for a 4 and 3 week session during the summer. The campers will receive Breakfast/Lunch/Snacks/Dinner free of charge and will learn coding, financial and digital literacy, robotics and programming as well.

At The IF Academy, it is our vision that every child has an equal opportunity to support a thriving 21st century workforce by becoming proficient in STEM. To do so, we have to start encouraging our youth to ask, "what IF?". This simple question will train our future leaders, neighbors, and workers to solve the complex challenges of today and tomorrow. For the greater Atlanta area in particular, access to the necessary resources to create STEM capable citizens, are minimal. We recognize the crucial need to provide STEM education in the underrepresented communities within Atlanta, so that more K-12 individuals have an equal opportunity to pursue pathways in Career Technical Education, and emerge into STEM disciplines fully confident as entrepreneurs or industry employees.
