About our work

We partner with public hospitals, government agencies, medical schools, equipment providers and international nonprofits to enhance teaching and supply chain in a number of surgical and medical specialties in Ethiopia. We assess the most pressing needs in their communities. We make a plan to help them build capacity for long-term health sustainability.

We teach the teachers. We partner with volunteer medical professionals from preeminent medical institutions across the country. By holding specialized medical trainings in surgery, anesthesia, orthopedics, and other fields, we empower doctors, nurses, and administrators to care for their own communities. We stand side-by-side with health workers in hospitals and clinics, providing assistance and performing specialty care as needed. We also give lectures in key specialties to medical residents.

We perform outcomes research. We are invested in building an evidence base around clinical interventions using data literacy trainings. Each of our interventions is community-driven, thoughtfully planned, and evaluated at regular intervals. This way, we ensure that we are choosing the most impactful and feasible entry points.

We bring medical supplies to communities in need. Through our partnerships with top medical technology and pharmaceutical companies, we take in donations of crucial medical devices and supplies. We transfer these to communities and sort through them to make sure they are allocated properly. We also ensure they are in good operating condition.

We are determined to strengthen Ethiopian health systems. Our goal is to meet Ethiopian communities where they are to address the areas of greatest need.

Join us and help us create a path for long-term sustainability.
