We are looking for a Volunteer Manager of Business Planning and Events for our MAP related immigrant retail, for profit and non-profit services, fee based education classes and workshops and cultural entertainment and act as an Assistant to our Economic Development Consultant.

Volunteer Manager of Business Planning and Events:

Duties:

Define, develop and implement program planning processes.
Coordinate to improve program planning methods.
Determine and execute key program initiatives
Develop and implement best practices and learning plans to meet program objectives.
Assist our Economic Development Consultant as needed
Identify program problems and provide recommendations for improvements.
Understand program direction and needs and develop solutions, roadmaps and assessment of potential program impacts

Requirements:

Experience planning and coordinating business processes
Bachelor’s degree in business or pursuing coursework in related field
Non-profit and social work experience preferred
Passionate about FACTR’s mission

  1. To provide counseling, psycho- educational services and cultural awareness programs for newcomer families and their children that is respectful of ethnic values and diverse views, including State Laws pertaining to Child Protection, Domestic Violence, Educational, Immigration and other areas.
  2. To provide a setting for professionals who work with stressed families in newcomer and other circumstances to gain knowledge and skills to help them be effective in their work.
  3. To develop a knowledge base for dissemination of practices, methods and concepts for use in the broad mental health and Social Services field.
