Women’s Center of Montgomery County (WCMC) Volunteer Counselors/Advocates empower domestic violence survivors to explore options, rights and remedies to transition toward safety and stability. Volunteers provide supportive listening, information on legal options, advocacy, and resource information.

Counselor/Advocates complete a state-mandated 45-hour training provided by the WCMC, currently offered on a virtual platform, prior to working with survivors, and receive ongoing training and support from WCMC staff.

Current opportunities include:

  • After-hours and evening hotline coverage including evenings, holidays, and weekends
