ORGANIZATION: Bernalillo County Animal Services

Objective: Assist Staff in day to day operations and administrative duties as an entry level Customer Service Volunteer.

With training all Volunteers will have the opportunity to advance in level, allowing more activities such as Adoption Counseling.

Duties:

  • Assist with Answering phone calls.
  • Assist with directing visitors.
  • Assist with Facility Housekeeping for Lobby area.
  • Assist with running messages from Front Staff to other departments.

Volunteer Profile: Engaging, outgoing self-starter. Individual must be willing to learn about animal behavior and observant to said behaviors. Will be exposed to loud noises and smells.

Description

Animals arrive as lost or abandoned strays, animals surrendered by owners, and animals in need of medical care. We strive to find a home for every animal and a chance for a long and happy life, and our volunteers are a valuable and integral component of our mission.

  • Orientation or Training
  • Volunteers are asked to donate a minimum of eight hours per month. Volunteer Shifts are a minimum of three hours in length.
