This is a great role for a student of Marketing or Public Relations who is looking to learn more about the field is from a non-profit perspective: working on budgets with limited staff but trying to make a big impact to save lives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work on site twice per week, two to three hour shifts, to assist with general marketing duties
- Use Tree House's social media accounts and coordinate with social media manager to assist with growth, especially on Instagram
- Engage with social network via commenting, follow-ups, and additional postings per Tree House's guidelines
- Scan and digitize documentation as needed from the marketing department
- Organize photos and assist with photo history project
- Research and compile information on PR prospects
- Write/edit press releases
- Send press releases to targeted members of the media to grow our presence in the community and foster relationships
- Other marketing-related duties as they arise

Spay/Neuter Program: Tree House has sterilized several thousand animals through public spay/neuter as well as our Community Cats/T-N-R (trap-neuter-return) program.
