Traffick Free runs a drop-in center for cis and trans-female persons who may be in need of our services which includes meals, clothing, hygiene products, computer use, shower, and referral to other services. While we primarily serve women who are survivors of sex trafficking, we know that many may not be ready to identify in this way so welcome any woman in need without questioning their background.

Our goal is to meet women's practical needs and use the power of long-term relationships to walk alongside their self-determined goals at their chosen pace.

We are looking for cis and trans-female persons to volunteer regularly at our drop-in center which is undisclosed to the public but within the city limits. Shifts would fall within Mondays and Wednesdays 11AM-6PM and Fridays 9AM-4PM. Due to the value of relationships in our services, we are unable to accept volunteers who can only come one time or sporadically.

Ideal candidates should be able to devote 4 consistent hours on a regular weekly basis (i.e. Wednesdays 2PM-6PM) but candidates who can volunteer every two weeks will also be considered. Candidates who can devote full days at the drop-in center are also encouraged to apply.

About Traffick Free

Mission Statement

Traffick Free is an anti-human trafficking organization that seeks to raise awareness of human trafficking through education and community outreach.

Description

Human beings are not commodities. We are not disposable. Our worth cannot be affixed to a price, and any act that does so must not be tolerated.

Yet, not only is it tolerated, but human trafficking is the fastest growing criminal industry in the world; it is second most profitable after drug smuggling, and equal with illegal arms transactions. It thrives because it is invisible - subversive - and this will continue as long as most people fail to realize that it is happening all around them.

Therefore, it is our purpose to create awareness of human trafficking, and train those who work directly with victims and survivors. As citizens, we may not have all the answers, but we believe we are part of the solution.

You don’t have to be a social worker or federal agent to make a difference. All you have to do is care that there are human beings who are not free, and be willing to take action on their behalf.

Welcome to a new world - one that is Traffick Free.
