Endless Journey utilizes volunteers in many capacities. We have an immediate need for volunteers who would serve in our Sit Beside Me program - offering bedside presence for patients in their final days. We also have opportunities for volunteers with trained dogs, providing respite visits so caregivers can get out of the house for a while, as well as general companion visits. Endless Journey volunteers also provide assistance in the extension of holistic interventions such as essential oils and aromatherapy.

This training is for all volunteers, regardless of the direction they go with their volunteering. If you are interested in volunteering, call or email to arrange a meeting with the Volunteer Coordinator ahead of the training.

About Endless Journey

Location:

Mission Statement

The Endless Journey hospice experience will encompass the holistic philosophy in that the client and their family will be nourished physically, emotionally and spiritually as they prepare for the end of life and beyond.

Description

Endless Journey Hospice LLC is an independent, locally owned and operated hospice established in Omaha to serve Northeast Nebraska with an alternative for end of life care unlike those currently offered by the medical field. The primary objective is to empower clients and the community through education and to offer holistic interventions to provide comfort and dignity throughout the dying process. Endless Journey embraces the client and their loved ones as they approach the exhaustion of effective aggressive treatment by offering emotional support and education related to disease process and treatment options to improve quality of life. Like all hospices, we provide services to clients wherever they live. This is provided through the traditional hospice team of nurses, health aids, chaplains, social workers, and volunteers in addition to a broad array of holistic providers and a full-time nutritionist.
