ORGANIZATION: Hope Connections for Cancer Support

Hope Connections for Cancer Support is looking for Event & Outreach Volunteers. Duties Include:

  • Day-of Event Tasks including:
    • Setup/cleanup
    • Managing registration
    • Running raffles
    • Bussing tables/Supplies in stock
  • Deliver program calendars to oncology offices, hospitals and other venues we work closely with. We find that hand deliveries give our Program Calendars a "personal touch" that everyone appreciates and remembers.
  • Outreach to area businesses for corporate giving donations or volunteer enrollment

This volunteer should be:

  • A good communicator, and great writing and speaking skills
  • Is very outgoing and a "people-person"
  • A self-starter willing to learn new things and takes direction well
  • Able to do light lifting/carrying
  • Able to stand and/or sit for long periods of time

Hope Connections for Cancer Support helps people with cancer and their loved ones deal with the emotional and physical impact of cancer through professionally facilitated programs of emotional support, education, wellness and hope. All programs are provided free of charge thanks to the generous support of individuals, corporations and foundations.
