North Shore Exchange (https://northshoreexchange.org), the award-winning, nonprofit luxury resale shop, is opening a third location in the Old Orchard Shopping Center on June 1! Our first two locations, in Glencoe and at 900 North Michigan Shops in Chicago, and our online store, have raised $1.5 million for dozens of inspiring Chicagoland organizations doing important work to change the lives of families, individuals, and children with the greatest need.
If you have an eye for home accessories and a passion for our mission, please consider joining our amazing volunteer team as a home accessories intake and pricing specialist.
As a member of the vital home accessories team, you will help decide which items to acquire by reviewing pictures or going to consignors’ or donors’ homes, then determine accurate pricing by researching similar items. Other responsibilities might include responding to emails about furniture consignment, arranging delivery or pick up of items, computer skills for inputting information into Liberty (software system), and organizing the items in the store.
This opportunity is for approximately 5-10 hours per week. Training provided. Volunteer hours would be spent primarily at our 372 Hazel Avenue, Glencoe location, but also might include time at the Old Orchard Shopping Center location, and at consignors’ homes, at mutually agreed upon times.
For more information, please go to https://northshoreexchange.org/pages/volunteer or email home@northshoreexchange.org. To apply for this position, go to https://www.jotform.com/nseglencoe/volunteer-application-form.
