The Volunteer Center of Randolph County, a program of the United Way of Randolph County

Randolph Health Volunteers needs committed individuals to assist patients in the Visitor Center, Surgical Services and the Cancer Center Infusion Department. Volunteers assist in providing information and comfort to patients and families, transporting patients within the hospital and restocking supplies. Each position has its own training and requirements. Shifts are approximately 4 hours. Randolph Health seeks volunteers with good communication skills, a desire to help, an ability to work independently and a willingness to commit for at least 6 months after training. The hospital has a critical need for caring volunteers right now and this is a great opportunity to give back to your community and help your neighbors. For young people interested in health careers, this is excellent experience and a great resume builder.

Description

The center is a comprehensive resource center for volunteers and programs that utilize the services of volunteers. The center will recruit and refer volunteers and help agencies effectively orient, train, retain, recognize and evaluate volunteers.
