NAMI Metro Suburban is seeking a volunteer who believes in our mission of improving the lives of individuals, families, and communities affected by mental illness and is eager to promote our free programs and services in the community.
This position will include pitching NAMI's free services to a variety of community organizations, corporations, businesses, etc. through in-person meetings, presentations, and a variety of other communication methods.
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, passionate about mental health, persuasive and not afraid of public speaking.
TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED IN ALL FACETS OF THIS POSITION. Advance knowledge of Mental Health First Aid and other NAMI programs is a plus but not a requirement.
Some daytime weekday availability will be required.

Description
NAMI Metro Suburban is an affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. We are a grassroots family and consumer self-help support, education and advocacy organization dedicated to improving the lives of people, families and communities affected by mental illness in the western suburbs of Cook County. NAMI Metro Suburban is one of 900 affiliates nationwide.
