NAMI Metro Suburban is seeking volunteers for its Finance and Human Resource Committee.
The FHR Committee meets on the third Wednesday of the month and is responsible for the review and maintenance of accounts for NAMI Metro-Suburban, Inc., have charge and custody of all funds and securities of NAMI Metro-Suburban, Inc. and be responsible for the receipt and disbursement thereof, and perform all duties incident to the office of Treasurer and such other duties as may be assigned to him or her by the President or the Board of Directors. Monthly reports are created and distributed by NAMI’s Finance Manager.
The ideal candidate would have knowledge of non-profit accounting practices, HR background and aligned with NAMI’s mission.

The mission of NAMI Metro Suburban is to improve the quality of life for individuals, families and communities who are affected by mental illness. We achieve this goal by providing education, advocacy and support (free of charge) within the communities of west suburban Cook County.
Description
NAMI Metro Suburban is an affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. We are a grassroots family and consumer self-help support, education and advocacy organization dedicated to improving the lives of people, families and communities affected by mental illness in the western suburbs of Cook County. NAMI Metro Suburban is one of 900 affiliates nationwide.
