We are seeking a highly motivated volunteer that is dedicated to supporting survivors of rape and
sexual abuse. Under the direction of the Manager of Prevention and Outreach, this successful individual will assist with Sexual Violence Prevention and Education prep and delivery for youth
programming. For the individual with sufficient time and skills deemed by the team, volunteers can also participate in some program delivery with out-of-school time and school partners.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend Volunteer training, including Ambassador training
  • Research, catalogue, and become an expert in long term gender specific and youth led programming
  • Inventory of outreach and prevention supplies
  • Assist with set up, tear down, check in, and guiding participants to where they need to go at Girls in Motion
  • Assist with set up, tear down, check in, and guiding participants to where they need to go at Best Foot Forward
  • Prepare materials for prevention lessons
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Working toward a degree in Education, Social Work, Sociology, or other related field
  • Committed to the mission of CRCC to prevent sexual violence, serve, and advocate for survivors
  • Highly motivated and a creative thinker
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to connect with others, quickly establish rapport, and forge strong relationships
  • Must be able to understand agency mission, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences, staff, volunteers, and partners both verbally and in writing
  • Possess the ability to have cultural humility while working with unserved, underserved, inadequately served, marginalized and vulnerable populations
  • Valid OH Driver’s License and reliable transportation
