Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts is the wellspring for the community providing inspiration, enrichment, enjoyment, opportunities and education through the arts. The Art Center is housed in an 1847 Greek-revival of historical significance, the former Banfill Tavern and Locke Farmhouse located in Anoka County's Manomin Park. The Center is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.
Banfill is looking for friendly, organized and self-directed volunteers to help at the front desk. Guest service volunteers welcome people to the center, provide information on exhibits, assist with gift shop purchases, register people for classes and answer the phone. Minimum commitment is twice a month for 3 hours per shift (from 10:00-1:00 or 1:00-4:00) Volunteers choose which day/shift works best for your schedule.
Orientation and training is provided.

The Anoka County RSVP connects people age 55 and over who want to volunteer with non-profit and social service programs in Anoka County who need volunteers. Volunteers enroll by completing a skills and interests checklist and these are matched to community needs. From the matches, the volunteer selects a volunteer job that is meaningful and fits. Become one of nearly a half million RSVP volunteers across the country who are making a difference in their community.
