Everyday volunteers help with tasks that are essential to our operation. Whether you’re assisting with a food recovery, unloading a truckf of catered food, gleaning through mountains of produce, packaging meals for distribution, or helping families with their donations, there is always something you can do to help at Nourish Now.

Mission Statement

ENDING HUNGER THROUGH FOOD RECOVERY

Description

Nourish Now collects surplus food from dedicated food donor partners including restaurants, grocers, caterers, and more throughout the D.C. metro area. After packaging donations, Nourish Now redistributes food directly to families in need. Nourish Now also provides meals and other needed items to youth groups, senior care, shelters, food pantries, and other like-minded organizations, strengthening Montgomery County’s food assistance sector as a whole.
