We are a Norfolk-based 501(c)(3) organization on a mission to introduce girls from underserved communities to entrepreneurship. We have embarked on a bold mission to enable 1,000 girls across the country to become girl bosses by the year 2020. Our mission is to increase the rate of entrepreneurship and break the cycle of poverty for middle school girls in underserved communities throughout the United States. We are committed to helping girls build their future through entrepreneurship by creating a community to support their success.

Once girls enter our program, they go through four-prongs at no-cost: a summer immersion program, year-round mentoring, monthly assignments and webinars, culminating with an Entrepreneur Institute in Washington D.C. Our summer immersion is the first introduction girls receive to the program. We are bringing 600 girls from 30 different states to a week long experience where girls create their own business ventures and learn essential communication skills.

Junior counselors work alongside our college-aged counselors to lead groups of 10 middle school aged girls, helping them to develop their business ideas and learn the fundamentals of entrepreneurship. Junior counselors are essential, as they serve almost as big sister figures to the younger girls. Through it, junior counselors earn about 160 hours throughout the three weeks of camp and training. The camp takes place at Old Dominion University from June 16-28 and at Norfolk State University July 7-12. It is a 9-5 commitment for the Junior Counselors-it is a sleepaway camp for the girls.
