Take a Kid Fishing at Thompson County Park

Catch some quality time with a child in your life. Bring your own pole or borrow one of ours. There will be lots of hands-on fishing stations to practice tying knots, casting, baiting a hook, and learning about local aquatic animals and habitats. There will also be door prizes, giveaways, fun games, and an art activity to fill the afternoon.

We will also have a station to recycle your lead tackle or fishing line and trade it in for earth-friendly options. Volunteers are needed for this event to be a success! Please take a look at the list of open positions below:
