Never Alone Food Pantry is busy assisting families in our community and we are looking to expand our volunteer team. If you have been searching for a way to give back, then we are sure to have an opportunity for you.
Pantry Support Position: Processing
Volunteers in this position will:
-assist with unpacking food items from shipment or donation drop off
-sort and organize food
-stock shelves and organize the service area
-ensure product quality and compliance with organization service standards by visually checking food for freshness
- checking expiration dates and marking out upc codes.
-assemble emergency food packages for guests in crisis
-perform other related duties as needed.
Attention to detail and good organizational skills are helpful. Basic cleaning duties such as sweeping and wiping down the work area. Volunteer should be able to stand, bend, and lift approximately 30 lbs frequently during the shift.
Day / Time opportunities:
Monday / Wednesday
2 HR SHIFT 8:30 AM- 10:30 AM
4 HR SHIFT 10 AM - 2 PM
Tuesday/ Thursday/ Friday
2 HR SHIFT 9:30 AM -11:30 AM
4 HR SHIFT 11 AM - 3 PM
