Adults 55 plus are needed to tutor students at Ruby Major Elementary School in Hermitage.
Friends Learning in Pairs (FLIP), an inter-generational tutoring program of FiftyForward RSVP, needs volunteers to tutor Kindergarten through fourth-grade students who are at least 1/2 grade level behind in reading and comprehension skills.
FLIP volunteers support students through weekly, one-on-one tutoring sessions. Tutors are assigned the same students for the entire year, so they able to follow their student's progress.
FLIP provides training materials, and ongoing support.
Join FLIP and help our students become confident and successful readers! A child is waiting on your friendship.
