Grocery Rescue Volunteers Needed at Lynnwood Food Bank!
We are looking for driving and non-driving volunteers for our Grocery Rescue program which is an essential part of successfully providing fresh and healthy foods to our community.
Grocery Rescue volunteers use our vehicles (primarily our cargo van) to pick up donations of meat, dairy, fresh fruits and vegetables and more from local grocery store partners.
Driving partners must be 21 years or older with a good driving record.
Non-driving partners must be 18 years or older.
All must be able to lift 30 pounds or partner lift 50 pounds.
Food Handlers cards must be obtained within two weeks of starting, but don't worry, we'll help you!
And most importantly, training is provided!
We are looking for someone who is willing to make a commitment to a regular schedule.
We have positions available throughout the week and each day is a little bit different. For more information and a volunteer application contact Alissa at lynnwoodfoodbank@comcast.net.
Lynnwood Food Bank is filled with wonderful and friendly volunteers and we look forward to working with you!
