Volunteer needs for newly resettled refugee families and youth!

Resettlement Volunteers-

Greet and befriend newly arrived refugees. Meet them at the airport and help them move into their new home. Assist with ESL classes by practicing with them at home. Transport the client to different legal and medical appointments. Act as a resource to answer cultural questions and be a friendly face. Commitment of 3-6 months, visiting with them a minimum of 3 times. Each volunteer match will be unique and I will look for input from the volunteer to figure it out together.

Housing Volunteers-

Teach our clients how to keep their home nice and tidy to prevent pests and preserve relationships with landlords. Information and cleaning supplies provided, visiting families anywhere from 1-8 times a month for an hour or less.

Transporter-

Drive clients to and from appointments; Mileage is reimbursed. Looking for Monday afternoon/evening transporters and people available to transport every Tuesday from 12-5pm. And other days and times - depends on the week!
