Refugee World Cup is a day of family fun while watching a soccer tournament among teams in the Grand Rapids area. It's also a day to celebrate and support refugee communities in Grand Rapids and beyond.

Many Ways to Volunteer!

Parking Volunteers: Conduct parking and help with directing attendees to other parking areas in the event that the main parking lot gets full. Needed from 9-12 only.

Team Check-in and Scheduling: Check-in teams as they arrive at the tournament and give them their first game field number and time. Inform teams about where and when their next game is throughout the day.

Volunteer Check-in & Event Information: Check-in volunteers and direct them to their work stations. Hand-out event schedules, and answer questions.

Table Volunteers: Check-in volunteers direct them to their work stations. Hand-out event schedules, and answer questions.

Scoreboard: Operate electric or a manual flip scoreboard. (A chair next to the field is provided)

Ball Chasing Volunteers: Retrieves balls that go out of play during a game and supplies players or referees with new balls. Tennis shoes or running shoes are recommended.

Concessions Volunteers: Operate cash box for sale of food and drink. Must wear closed toe shoes and a hat to cover hair. Participants need to be 18 or older to work the cash box.

Childcare: Join staff to play games and do crafts with the kids who come to watch the games!

Medical Volunteers: Responsible for treating any medical/injury needs - Must be a certified professional.

Clean Up Crew: Come watch the Championship and help our team to clean up and tear down. Many hands make light work! Needed from 5-8pm only.
