ORGANIZATION: HELPING HANDS BEHAVIORAL OUTREACH

We are looking for volunteers who have skills in cooking, fitness, music or art. We need someone to come in and teach a 30-60 minute lesson to our students. this would be on a Saturday or Sunday and can be 1-3 times a month.

Mission Statement

Our goal at Helping Hands Behavioral Outreach is to help children with Autism and other developmental disabilities further develop social skills, interpersonal skills and self esteem in a unique recreational setting utilizing typical children as peer mentors to model appropriate behavior to our children with autism.

Description

Helping Hands Children serves over 70 Long Island School Districts & New York City Regions with ABA/BCBA & Autism related consultations, trainings & related services.

We are proud to be New York State certified to teach Autism Mandate training. Our full time doctoral level clinical staff serves well over 300 students & have over 100 specialized providers.
