Be a Friend to a Lonely Senior!

Meals On Wheels, Inc. of Tarrant County is looking for volunteers for our Friend to Friend program! Volunteers in this program will be matched with one of our clients that might not have family or friends around and is a bit more lonelier than the rest of our clients. The goal is that you will develop a friendship with them through your weekly visits. You can enjoy activities together like playing cards, gardening, building model airplanes, reading, etc.

• To become a volunteer you will have to complete a background check form and attend an orientation at Meals On Wheels. After the orientation we will match you with a friend and make sure we are there to initiate the first visit between you and your new friend. We will even have supplies at our office that you can use to bond with your friend like puzzles, cards, checkerboard sets, books, and anything else on request.
