Volunteers work as a team with braille unit proofreaders: the volunteer will read transcribed print material aloud so that the proofreader can check the transcribed braille copy for accuracy. Volunteers will read for approximately three hours at a time, with frequent breaks. The proofreading will take place during regular business hours Monday - Friday. No reading test is required, and it is not necessary to know the braille code.
